우리는 배움을 얻기 위해 이 세상에 왔다.
태어나는 순간 누구나 예외 없이
삶이라는 학교에 등록한 것이다.
수업이 하루 24시간인 학교에,
살아 있는 한 그 수업은 계속된다.
그리고 충분히 배우지 못하면 수업은
언제까지나 반복될 것이다.
우리가 배워야 할 과목들은
사랑, 관계, 상실, 두려움, 인내, 받아들임, 용서, 행복 등이다.
나아가 이 수업은 궁극적으로는
나 자신이 진정 누구인가 하는 깨달음으로
우리를 데리고 간다.
그것이 이 수업의 완성이다.
생의 어느 시점에서 누구나
스스로 에게 물음을 던진다.
이것이 진정 내가 원하는 삶일까?
비극은 인생이 짧다는 것이 아니라,
단지 정말 중요한 것이
무엇인가를 너무 늦게서야 깨닫는다는 것이다.

We have come into this world to learn.
From the moment we are born,
without exception, everyone enrolls in the school of life.
This school has classes that run 24 hours a day,
